AKC JUNIORS
Our AKC Juniors Group is target at 8- 13 year old’s learning basic paddling skills, across multiple disciplines of kayaking including flatwater (sprint and marathon), slalom and canoe polo. This group uses a variety of boats to develop skills including guppies, plastic rudderless boats and polo bats (canoe polo boats) and gradually progress into K1 and slalom boats.
This squad is made of participants that have recently completed the APP course through to children starting to hone their skills to compete in local races or confidently explore our picturesque water ways with their new-found skills.
The group of AKC Juniors come together on Wednesday Evening and Saturday Mornings, before splitting in to smaller skill-based groups.
Session Time: Wednesday 4:30pm-5:30pm
Saturday 8:30am – 9:30am
Cost: $70 per Term (for 1 session or 2 sessions per week)
N.B. Discount applies to families with more than 1 child enrolled.
1 child $70.00 per term
2 children $130 per term
3 children $180 per term
Parents are required to assist their child, or children, to get ready for the paddling session and at the end of the session to wash and pack away equipment.
